Cliff Richard tribute to speak at Norwich dinner

Cliff Richard lookalike and tribute act Will Chandler will tell his own remarkable story of faith and complete recovery from cancer. As well as perform a few well-known Cliff songs, at the Christmas Dinner of Norwich FGB on 11th December.

Will has been a Christian since the age of nine. He has been involved with Christian ministry in one form or another for most of his life. Since becoming a Christian Will has served God, including 10 years as a pastor of two churches.

His act known as ‘Cliff As If’ began in 2007 and has taken Will all over the UK and across lots of Europe. He has performed in theatres, holiday centres, cruise ships, clubs, concert halls and churches. As well as many private functions, some of which were for famous people. He has been described as “one of the world’s best-loved tribute acts.” When Sir Cliff Richard met Will in 2008, he was astonished at how much Will looked like him.

Cliff Richard said, “it is great to meet me”! 

Will’s show went on hold in April 2022 when he was diagnosed with malignant Melanoma cancer. He was given a terminal prognosis of six months to two years, following a seizure while out running a few months earlier.

Will said, “I was not moved at all to any state of panic or fear about what lay ahead of me. When I received the news, because having experienced God move in my life many times, this was just another faith hurdle to get over. I never had any doubt that I would survive and told everyone that would be the case.

“I was even given a platform at a few church services in Cromer to testify of what the Lord Jesus had done for me. So it was of no great surprise when in April 2024, after two scans, I was informed that there was no evidence of disease.”

Despite entertaining thousands of people over the past 18 years Will’s heart has always been in mission and evangelism. He also presents a Christian music show, ‘Gotta Get Gospel’, on Poppyland Radio, based in nearby Northrepps,
