📣 Your Story Matters: Share your testimony & the Miracle of Transformation!

Are you sitting on a testimony of God’s faithfulness? At our upcoming breakfast and dinner meetings, we want to hear it! The core of FGBMFI is the sharing of real, everyday stories of how God changes lives. Your personal journey of faith is the most compelling evidence of God’s power and is the spark that can ignite faith in others.

We encourage every member to prayerfully consider stepping up to the microphone and sharing the good news. Don’t worry about being a polished speaker—just speak from the heart!

📝 How to Structure Your Life-Changing Testimony

  • 1. Life Before Christ:

    • Briefly describe what your life, feelings, or situation was like before you truly committed your life to Jesus.
    • Focus on the need you had, such as a lack of peace, searching for purpose, feeling lonely, or being controlled by a habit.
    • Avoid a long list of sins; focus on highlighting points others can relate to.
  • 2. How I Met Christ (The Turning Point):

    • Clearly and simply explain the circumstances that led you to recognise your need for Jesus.
    • Describe the moment or process when you surrendered your life to Him, placing your faith and trust in Him.
    • Explain the core message of the Gospel: that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, offering a gift of forgiveness and new life.
    • If it also changed the lives of those around, you as well talk about what it meant to them
  • Life Since Christ (The Difference He Makes):

    • Share how your life has changed since that decision.
    • Describe how your thoughts, attitudes, and actions are different now. For example, replacing fear with peace, finding purpose, or overcoming a past struggle.
    • How did your life change practically and for those around you.
    • What have you accomplished in your walk with God since you made the decision to walk with God.
    • Finish by pointing to your ongoing, growing relationship with God today.

🙏 Prayer and Time of Ministry

Every good testimony presentation should conclude with an invitation to those listening. We will always reserve time at the end of the meeting for an invitation for people to respond to the good news you’ve shared.

The Invitation to Salvation

Following the testimony, an invitation will be made. We can lead a simple prayer for those who wish to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. A leader will pray something along these lines:

“If you have heard this story today. And your heart to receive the same forgiveness and new life. You can invite Jesus into your life right now. It’s a free gift from God. Just pray this simple prayer from your heart:

‘Lord Jesus, I confess that I have been living life my own way. I am sorry for my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me and rose again. Right now, I choose to turn from my old ways and open my life to you. I receive you as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for your love and for the gift of eternal life. Amen.’

Ministry Time

After the salvation prayer, we will often dedicate a time for personal ministry. This is a brief but vital opportunity for a person who has made a decision. Or those who needs prayer for healing or a personal struggle. To receive prayer and encouragement from a fellow believer in a confidential and supportive setting.

Your story is a weapon against discouragement and doubt. Will you answer the call to share how God has transformed your life?
