Chairman’s Desk – A Powerful Start to 2026

What a weekend we had in Torquay! The waves were breaking over the roof of a 3-story hotel. I am still picking seaweed out of the car bonnet and an unexploded second World War bomb was washed up on the beach. The same power outside moved inside, but that was the power of God. In our group from Halifax, we had 2 major healings and that power went on right through the meetings.

Peter Ashburner was exceptional in his teaching and encouraging people to move in the spirit. I personally put that down to his wife being there and keeping an eye on him 😊 (only joking Peter but she is from Yorkshire). People started to move in the gifts in a new way for many of the attendees.

Graham did a great job at leading the meetings and keeping us on track. As well as all the hard work Graham and Mike did to organise the conference and give us the opportunity to fellowship and start the year the way we mean to go on.

I can’t say much about the music….. as I am not too sure about the sanity of the worship leader. However, the keyboard player was exceptional. As always, the food was excellent and the staff really helpful. All in all, a brilliant way to start the new year.

I am now excited about the May Convention in Derby. Do try and be there and book as soon as possible so we have numbers. There is only a £20 deposit to pay, or you can pay the full amount £235. If you can get booked we can liaise with the conference centre to get everything set up.

For those in the South, Regional Director Bernie Galopin will be holding a Free FGB training afternoon in Kent on 28 Feb starting at 12.30. A Fish and Chips lunch will be provided, so confirm with Bernie (begalopin@talktalk.net) if you’d like to attend. This promises to be a great event to move you and your Chapter to the next level.

If you’ve got any events coming up, reports back or Pictures and Video’s please send them through to the office.
