Hi Happiest People on Earth,
This is our calling, it’s our decision to walk in it or to be miserable, the joy of the Lord is our strength.
SAVE THE DATE!
Don’t forget to keep the 23rd to 25th January in your diary for the Torque convention. We have nearly everything back in place after the promotion to Glory of Richard Cordy who has organised the convention for many years.
OFFICE UPDATE
Earlier I explained that the new owners of the building, where the head office was sited, wish to turn the building into their headquarters. Therefore, we will not be renewing our lease. The decision has been taken, on the retirement of the staff, to move the office. This has many implications:
- The address is no longer valid, so please don’t post anything to the office.
- The phone number does not work, although we are hoping to get this sorted.
So email is the best way to contact us at office@fgbuk.org.
The office and supplies are now between my workshop and home. Until we get things settled down.
So watch this space!
CHAPTER FEEDBACK
I have become aware some of you are feeling a little despondent. So here are some reports of what it happening around the country:
News from Isle of White
At the last meal on September 8, it was good to hear Kelvin Burke’s testimony of how God spoke into his life. God told him, “I am with you”, and more than that, “I am with you always.”
I am grateful to Kelvin for his testimony, and his prayers for commitment and recommitment.
My guest enjoyed the evening. I pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him and that he will come to know the joy of salvation in Jesus.
The Royal Welsh/The Three-County Show
Peter informed the meeting that slots could not be obtained for the Three-County Show. But that he, Wally and John obtained three passes for the Royal Welsh Show. Which they attended on the Monday of the show. He stated further that he, Wally and John gave out some three-hundred Voice Magazines at the show. He added that they hoped to do the same in 2026.
Peter added that one Voice Magazine was given to the Speaker of the Welsh Assembly, at the show which was attended also by the Welsh First Minister (who is a Christian) and the Deputy First Minister.
Rotherham Shown
Saturday 2025: We have given out 106 bags today with voice magazines books leaflet for Dinners, As well as our own FGB Rotherham chapter newsletter. By the end of this weekend we will have given 154 bags out and many voice magazines. Bg big success, and we had so many good chats.
Keynsham Breakfast
We had a really good breakfast at Keynsham, near Bath and Bristol this morning. With over 40 men attending, I spoke and 4 men made decisions. There was a lot of ministry after the breakfast as well.
Chippenham Dinner
Dear FGB pray-ers,
A big thank you for praying for the FGB Dinner on Tuesday. Just a few inspiring stories to show how your prayers helped!
A lady prayed for several days before the dinner, and the Lord gave her three words of knowledge for the meeting. One word, was for someone who needed prayer for a heart problem – and a guy at the meeting received prayer for just that! He is very soon to have heart surgery.
It was good that seven came for the first time, and that two of them shared something. Amazing! There was an opportunity during the Notices for those present to share something special. Six responded.
An elderly lady prayed that the Lord would make a seat available, for her during her forthcoming train journey. As she knew it would be a big issue. The Lord answered her prayer.
One guy had been involved with a “bad” religion and was prayed for. Afterwards he said he “felt he was set free from the burden he was under.”
The Lord put on another lady’s heart: ‘Bring a rose for someone!’ This really blessed a lady present and she shared her story of an amazing encounter with the Lord – regarding a rose!
I shared the Good News of the Gospel with a guy about a week ago, and invited him to the dinner. He was saved! Praise the Lord! I chatted to him over coffee in town, and he said he has had “relief in his brain” and feels much lighter.
Another guy I shared the Good News with, who made a commitment a while ago, said he now wants to be Baptised in Water.
Three “Water Baptism” and three “Baptism in the Holy Spirit” and three of our FGB books were taken. Which is an indication that those taking them wish to progress in their faith. About a dozen people were prayed for.
Hopefully, I will hear of more good news in the near future.
