FGB Chippenham Ladies’ Breakfast: Prayer, Healing and Encouragement

Around 17 women gathered for a special ladies’ breakfast featuring speaker Amelia Clements. Amelia’s testimony of faith through difficult seasons of life encouraged those attending. She was joined by two women who travelled from London to support the prayer ministry.

The breakfast was marked by a powerful sense of the Holy Spirit’s presence, with women receiving prayer, encouragement and words of hope for situations they were facing in their own lives and families.

Amelia Clements: Finding God’s Love Through Life’s Challenges

Amelia shared from her own journey of faith, including navigating a difficult divorce and the challenges of becoming a single parent. Throughout these experiences, she discovered God’s unconditional love and the ways He sustained both her and her children.

Her testimony also includes her experience of a cancer diagnosis and her faith in the power of prayer and God’s healing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Amelia continued working as an Operating Department Practitioner across two NHS Trusts in London. Relying on God for guidance and strength through a demanding and uncertain period.

Alongside her professional work, Amelia leads an online Bible study group for women called F.a.B. — Favoured and Blessed Ladies of God. Encouraging women to grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus.

Her willingness to share the challenges she has faced and how her faith has sustained her, brought a personal and relatable dimension to the morning.

A Morning of Prayer and Encouragement

Following the breakfast and speaker’s message, time was given to prayer ministry. Several women received prayer for personal circumstances, family concerns and emotional struggles. The morning provided an opportunity for women to share their burdens and receive prayer in a supportive Christian environment.

One recurring message was that God does not want us to carry our burdens alone.

A woman who had been praying for her husband, daughter and sister was encouraged that God held her family in His hands. That she could trust Him with their circumstances. This reminder resonated with others who were carrying worries about loved ones, relationships and difficult situations.

During the meeting, five words of knowledge were shared, offering specific encouragement. This prompted prayer for those who felt the words related to their circumstances.

One word concerned heartache. A woman who responded received prayer and was reminded of the parable of the prodigal son. A story that connected with her own situation. She was also encouraged to consider forgiveness, including forgiving herself and releasing feelings of guilt about attitudes towards someone who had once been close to her.

Following the meeting, another attendee contacted the organiser to say that she had responded to one of the words of knowledge shared during the morning.

These moments were meaningful reminders to those present of the importance of prayer, listening to God and offering encouragement with compassion and sensitivity.

Praying for Emotional Healing and Broken Relationships

Prayer was also offered for women experiencing emotional pain, unresolved relationship difficulties and broken-heartedness.

One woman who was deeply distressed by unresolved issues in a relationship received prayer and encouragement. She decided to seek Christian counselling to support her journey towards healing. She had previously received prayer on several occasions, and the suggestion offered a further avenue of support as she continued to work through her difficulties.

Others were prayed for in relation to family concerns, including a woman whose sister was in hospital with cancer. Members of the group also took time to pray for those who requested support for loved ones and other challenging circumstances.

Throughout the morning, the emphasis was on bringing these situations before God while offering care, encouragement and support to one another.

Experiencing the Presence of the Holy Spirit

Those attending described the presence of the Holy Spirit as beautiful and authentic, with several women experiencing a deep sense of God’s presence during the prayer ministry.

Two attendee’s, were particularly moved during the morning and began speaking in tongues. One also recalled the encouragement that God did not want her to carry the weight of her worries alone, but that He had His hands on her family and sister.

For one woman, hearing Amelia share about a difficult period in her own life that closely mirrored her circumstances was especially significant. It was Amelia’s first time attending one of the group’s events, yet the woman felt that the message had come at just the right time.

Her response reflected the personal impact that a testimony can have when someone recognises their own struggles in another person’s story of faith.

A Morning of Faith, Fellowship and Hope

The ladies’ breakfast brought women together not only to share a meal and hear an inspiring speaker, but also to support one another through prayer and Christian fellowship.

From encouragement for those carrying concerns about family members to prayer for emotional healing and difficult relationships. The morning provided space for women to seek God and receive support.

Amelia’s testimony and the ministry that followed served as a reminder that, whatever challenges life brings, women do not have to face them alone. Through faith, prayer, fellowship and the support of others, there is an opportunity to find renewed hope and encouragement in Jesus.

The morning was a powerful reminder of the value of creating opportunities for women to come together, share their experiences and grow in faith.
