Keynsham Winter Festival 2025 – Be the Light in the Darkness!
Full Gospel Businessmen UK was well represented at the Keynsham Winter Festival 2025. With lots of cheerful volunteer’s representing hope and the Holy Spirit.
The stall is beautifully set up including a crib that was designed and built by the late Richard Cordy. Richard was a long standing FGB member and it’s wonderful to be able to have him represented. The crib has been used at this festival for years.
Every year young children come to the crib wide eyed. We ask then if they know the names of the characters, in the crib scene. Many do. Some don’t. It’s a great opportunity to remind people Jesus is the reason for the Season.
Every year adults come to take a photo of the illuminated crib, and we get the opportunity to chat with them.
Free Giveaway Bags
During the Winter Festival so many people always accept our free giveaway bags of Christmas info! It’s really encouraging to see an interest for the things of God in the community.
The giveaway bags include a Christian Good Newspaper, a list of all the local church events over Christmas, an FGB Voice Magazine, an advert for our local Churches Together radio show Believe Together (produced by my wife Jenny and me). As well as any flyers for other local events that we can get hold of.
We also give away UCB Bags Of Hope for junior children, with Christmas sticker books for infants. We also have several tubs of wrapped sweets to share with children and adults alike.
Working together in Unity!
This year we invited the “Gideons” to join us from Bath, and for the first time they attended. They handed out free bibles, and were thrilled by the way so many people accepted them willingly.
They brought 50 bibles with them, but these went so quickly! The volunteers had to return to Bath for another 50. In total they gave out about 90!
They will be joining us again for the Keynsham summer Music Festival. We will also be joined there by a Bristol Openair Campaigner. It’s wonderful to be a regularly be in the community, as a shining light of God’s love.
